Your Graduation

The Book Store at Western will email regalia information to all graduates registered for the 2017 Spring Convocation. Frames and gifts are available to purchase in-store and online. Place online orders early to ensure delivery in time for your Convocation date. For more information contact weborder@uwo.ca or 519-661-3520.

Regalia Rental

The Gaspard Regalia Rental website will be live starting

When

Regalia is available on the day you graduate as follows:

Morning Ceremony

Pick up from 7:30 am - 9:30 am. 

Afternoon Ceremony

Pick up from 10:00 am - 2:30 pm. 

Graduating Students in June must go, with their regalia, to Thames Hall gym, Room 3120, no later than 1 hour and 15 minutes prior to the ceremony.

Graduating Students in October must go, with their regalia, to Thames Hall gym, Room 3120, no later than 1 hour and 15 minutes prior to the ceremony.

If you are graduating in the afternoon ceremony, you should pick up your regalia after 10:00 am to allow the morning ceremony graduates the ability to meet their time frame.

Souvenir Grad Caps

Available in The Book Store at Western (UCC lower level) and Mustang Lounge Gift Table (UCC 2nd floor) for $12, taxes included.

Lifetouch Photography

Graduation portrait sittings are available through Lifetouch Photography, before and after each convocation ceremony, with no appointment necessary. Located in the UCC, lower level, just down the hall from the Book Store. Lifetouch has been photographing Western graduates for over 25 years.

Convocation Flowers

Convocation Flowers provides graduates and guests with the opportunity to pre-order their flowers online. Customers purchase and reserve their flowers ahead of time and have them available for pick-up at our tent location by Alumni Hall.

Convocation FAQs

Question 1: What happens if I miss the online order deadline?
Answer 1: You can pick up regalia on the day of your ceremony at an additional cost.
Question 2: Where do I pick up my Regalia Rental?
Answer 2: Mustang Lounge, UCC Main Floor.
Question 3: Where do I pick up my pre-paid frames?
Answer 3: In The Book Store, lower level of the UCC Building.
Question 4: Where do I get my free tassel?
Answer 4: You may pick up your complimentary tassel at The Book Store, lower level UCC Building.
Question 5: How long does the ceremony last?
Answer 5: Approximately 2 hours.
Question 6: Where and when do I line up before going to Alumni Hall?
Answer 6: Graduating Students must go, with their regalia, to Thames Hall, Room 3120 no later than 1 hour and 15 minutes prior to the ceremony.
Question 7: Where can I leave my personal belongings?
Answer 7: Personal belongings may be left with an attendant in Thames Hall, Room 3120 (mornings) and Thames Hall, Room 3154 (afternoons) picked up after the convocation ceremony. Graduates may wish to leave belongings with relatives before entering Alumni Hall.
Question 8: What is a Mortarboard?
Answer 8: A Mortarboard is a square academic cap and costs $10.95 including tax. The cap is a souvenir and does not need to be returned at the end of your graduation ceremony.
